Summer Of 2007-The Kashmir Trip!
We plan for a two day trip to Patnitop to beat the heat of Jammu.Whilst at Patnitop, mom expresses her desire to visit a small place called Pira, a few km off Patnitop to check if they still serve the same delicious Rajma Chawal they served nearly 4 decades back when dad was posted in J&K. Impromptu, we decide to drive down further.Even before we can reach Pira, we have decided to drive right down to Srinagar....The land I will visit after nearly 3 decades. I am more than excited.I want my son to see all those places which I visited when I was his age! The week long trip finally turns out to be the most memorable holiday for me. We spend some of the most beautiful and enjoyable times amidst this beautiful valley. One person who deserves all the credit is my loving sister in law-Uma Ranbir who leaves no stone unturned to make this trip really very special for all of us! A big thanks to her....
